The Effects of Carbon Fiber on Mechanical Properties of Plastic Bonding Explosives(PBXs)

To enhance the mechanical properties of PBXs, the carbon fiber(CF) with high modulus and intensities was added to PBXs. The effects of different content of CF and different kinds of bonding systems were discussed. The results show that the compression strength and tensile strength of PBXs can be improved clearly by the CF adding, and the mechanical properties of PBXs are affected by the interfaces of CF and bonding system.
