SEISMOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES OF SRI LANKA

Seismological observation of Sri Lanka is very rarely used for its disaster management, after 2004 Tsunami Disaster, government of Sri Lanka understood importancy of seismological observation especially real time observation. Higer educaation institutes such as university expect to expand the studies and link with internatonal seismological activities. University of Ruhuna located at southern core of Sri Lanka and most affected area from 2004 Tsunami, expected to expand the seismological studies for use of students as well local public.
