Intralayer Cation Ordering in a Brownmillerite Superstructure: Synthesis, Crystal, and Magnetic Structures of Ca2FeCoO5.

Single crystals of the title compound are prepared by solid state reaction of CaCO3, Fe2O3, and CoO in a 4:1:2 molar ratio (1100 °C in air for 24 h, 1200 °C in air for 48 h, and 1250 °C in air for 48 h).
