An efficient protocol for the Friedlander quinoline synthesis using the Lewis acidic ionic liquid choline chloride・2ZnCl2

Lewis acidic ionic liquid choline chloride ·2ZnCl 2 is shown to be for the first time an excellent solvent and efficient catalyst for the synthesis of quinolines via Friedlander annulation under mild conditions.
