Detection of α-lactalbumin in bovine milk by capillary electrophoresis

2010
The samples were handled by the sample buffer, use a capillary that the diameter was 75 μ m and the effective length was 600 mm, capillary temperature was 40 ℃, buffer solution was citric acide buffer (pH of 3.0 ±0.2), separated voltage was 27 kV, detection wavelength was 214 nm, injection time was 5 s. As the results, the average recoveries ranged from 80%~110% and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was 0.17%~ 2.8% for α-lactalbumin. The limit of detection is 0.005 mg/mL. The present method is simple, accurate and sensitive. It is suitable for fast screening and a quantitative tool for monitoring of the α-lactalbumin in bovine milk.
