Electrically heated catalytic converter device of the present invention is a catalyst substrate of the laminated assembly spiral cartridge. The laminated assembly by a corrugated metal sheet and a plain metal sheet stacked and wound to form around the center electrode, an outer electrode connected outermost layer. Corrugated metal sheet having an alumina insulating layer, no plain metal sheet. Zirconium weld metal braze foil sheet may be formed the local conductive connections. Alumina zirconia insulating layer is reduced and deposited on the connection point, so that the plain metal sheet and corrugated metal sheet is electrically coupled. Solder foil overlapping portions of the two adjacent layers, so that current is concentrated in the overlap region, heat spots are formed. Changing solder foil entire length adjustable resistor circuit, so that current is maintained at a proper level.
