The invention relates to a process for machining a check ring of a piston pin, and aims to provide a process which is high in production speed, accurate, stable and reliable and is used for machining a check ring of a piston pin. The process comprises selecting materials, coiling a spring, performing heat treatment, performing imaging inspection, performing lustrous finishing, cleaning, oiling and packaging. In the process, the manufactured coiled spring is subjected to the imaging inspection, so the inspection is convenient; and angular measurement and diameter measurement are saved, the inspected structure is visual, the inspection efficiency can be improved, and the finished product ratio and accuracy of the check ring can be improved simultaneously.
