Mechanical properties of concrete by replacement of fly ash, Ggbfs, lime stone powder

Abstract The aim and scope of this research are to prepare concrete with the replacement of Cement by Fly ash, Granulated Blast Furnace Slag, Limestone powder respectively to attain the strength achieved in conventional concrete. For casting the specimens, the materials were mixed in various proportions by keeping Granulated Blast Furnace Slag − 40%, Limestone powder −10% as constants. Super plasticizer was added as an admixture of about 0.5%. Both Conventional concrete and replaced concrete cubes and cylinders were cast and mechanical properties of concrete were tested after 28 days. These results show an increase in mechanical properties of concrete as well as more economical when compared to conventional concrete.
