Disseminated Pulmonary Ossification

2015
Disseminated pulmonary ossification resulting from metaplastic bone formation in the alveoli and connective tissue was observed in a 43-year-old woman. The roentgenographs features, pulmonary function studies, and the appearance of the lesions on light and electron microscopy are presented. The case was unusual in that the patient had none of the disorders usually associated with pulmonary ossifications, such as chronic pulmonary vascular congestion.
