Clinical observation of surgical treatment on adjacent segment degeneration after lumbar spinal fusion

Objective To study the clinical efficacy of surgical treatment on adjacent segment degeneration after lumbar spinal fusion.Methods Forty two orthopedic patients with adjacent segment degeneration after lumbar spinal fusion in our hospital were given re-surgery.Results The intrinsic pressure of degenerate lumbar was significantly higher than normal lumbar(P 0.05).Three months after re-surgery,the VAS scores during 2 years were significantly lower than pre-operation(P 0.05).Conclusion The efficacy of re-surgery for adjacent segment degeneration after lumbar spinal fusion is satisfactory.It is worth of clinic application.
