Chapter 5 Mesoporous Materials for Batteries

This chapter will review recent advances in utilizing mesostructured materials, mainly carbons and metal oxides, for lithium storage in Li/ Na-ion batteries, Li-S batteries and Li-Air batteries. It will elaborate why mesoporous materials are advantageous for battery applications, and how the cell performance is improved through tuning the porous texture and compositions.
