[Effect of the type of dental burs, their rotation rate and load on the quality of the cavity wall preparation].

: In 540 extracted teeth the cavities were drilled using different burs at various rotation speeds. Microphotometry of the quality of walls preparation showed that steel drills had an optimum of under 10,000 rev/min while for hard-alloy and diamond drills the quality increased parallel with the drilling speed.
