A Study on the Situation of Flower Production and Farmers' Behavior——The Case of Yunnan Province and Guangdong Province

Based on a survey made in the main flower production areas,Yunnan province and Guangdong province,the authors studied the basic situation of flower production at present,and further analyze its effects on farmer income.Income from flower production is the essential component of farmers' agricultural income.Flower production improves the structure of agriculture economy and farmer income.However,there are some difference about flower production and revenue between Yunnan province and Guangdong province.Probit models indicate that householders' age and education level,labor force,farmer of household and input of planting are the important factors in flower production for farmers,but number of household member and acreage of land are not the prominent factors.
