On a Few Innovations of Chlor-Alkali Membrane Process in Japan

The Minamata disease due to organic mercury appeared public in the 1960`s, and in 1973 the government of time announced his basic policy that the production process of chlor-alkali must be converted from mercury to diaphragm progressively. The diaphragm process was only one choice in those days, however, had two faults.
