Sherri is a 59-year-old mother from California. She is a mother of three diagnosed initially with schizophrenia, later bipolar disorder. In this chapter, written following an interview by Dr. Downs, she discusses her childhood experiences, development of psychosis, and the important lessons her children have learned in the face of mental illness.
