Carole Itter : Western Blue Rampage
1990
Reminding a sketchbook, this photocopy artist’s book constitutes the catalogue for Itter’s exhibition that comprised a variety of objects (mainly wooden beads and vessels, industrial debris and photographs) forming a mass on the gallery floor. The handwritten bribes of text evoke the artist’s train of though while elaborating the piece and offer a glimpse on her interests, namely the struggle of native people for their land, and environmental/political concerns.
