Literariness of Lmagery

Ballad,as a specific part of poetry,comes down to us from the 13th century.Its literariness is mainly reflected by its unique use of imagery.Analysis of imagery of the ballad,The Three Ravens,would be able to reveal the literariness embodied in the ballad,and be conductive to the appreciation of the language of the ballad.
