The article considers the family as the subject of determining the life trajectory of a child with disabilities. An attempt is made to analyse the family not only as an object of assistance from psychological and pedagogical services: the potential of parents who have an active life position, promoting the processes of understanding modern society of children with disabilities, constructive ways of their socio-cultural integration, which helps to overcome "Psychology of disability" of children. The growth points of the modern family are defined as a new position in the formation and promotion of a constructive view in society on the issue of special childhood, which serves as a strategy for the family out of the crisis situation related to raising a child with disabilities. In this regard, the health resources of the family and the family as a resource of socio-cultural integration of the child are analysed.
