Comorbilidad entre el distrés psicologico y el abuso de drogas en pacientes en centros de tratamiento, en la ciudad de Leon - Nicaragua: implicaciones para políticas y programas

4 ABSTRACT:�Thisstudyaimedtodeterminetheprevalenceofcomorbiditybetweenpsychologicaldistresandabuse/dependencein� patientsondrugtreatmentcentersinLeon,�Nicaragua.�Weperformedacross-sectionalstudy,�aimedatpeoplewhowereintreatment� forabuse/dependenceofdrugsinspecializedcenterswithatotalof�41�participants.�Moststudyparticipantsweremenand�68.5%� wereunder�40�yearsold,�single�(58.5%),�loweducationlevel,�workindependently�(51.2%),�41.5%�livewiththeirbiologicalmother.�The� 65.9%�ofpatientsarrivedatthecenterontheirown.�Thedrugsmostconsumedwerealcohol,�marijuanaandcrack�(59.7%,�58.2%�and� 53.7%).�Weconcludethatthemostcommonconcurrentdisorderswereanxiety�(29.3%),�depression�(24.1%),�schizophrenia�(9.8%)�and� bipolardisorder�(2.4%)�andaccordingtothescaleoftheKesslerK-10�56.0%�ofparticipantswerediagnosedwithseverepsychological� distres.�AndaccordingtothefamilyAPGARscale,�26%�hadseverefamilydysfunction.
