STUDY ON THE SURVEILLANCE OF ADVERSE EVENTS OF IMMUNIZATION IN NAN-CHANG FROM 2006-2009

[Objective] To analyze the occurrence features of adverse events of immunization(AEFI)in Nanchang,and to evaluate the implementation of AEFI surveillance system and the safety of vaccines.[Methods] The AEFI data from January 1st 2006-June 30th 2009 were collected through China Information System for NIP Surveillance.The descriptive methodology was used in this study.[Results] 49 AEFI cases were reported.The vaccine reactions were accounted for 89.80% among the AEFI classifications;Among them,79.60% of the cases occurred from February to July each year;42.8% of the AEFI cases were occurred from 2 months to 6 months old,and 28.6% of the AEFI cases were occurred from 1 year to 2 years old,and the first dose of DPT vaccination were significantly related to AEFIs;83.7% of the AEIF cases occurred in 3 days after the first im-munization;Fever and local abscess dominated the clinical diagnosis of AEFI cases;60.87% of the abnormal reaction cases presented allergic skin rashes and aseptic abscess.[Conclusion] The study showed that the implementation of surveillance system were good,the safety of vaccines were satisfactory,but the reported AEFI cases number was little.It is necessary to perfect AEFI identification and compensation method to improve AEFI monitoring work.
