Isolation and Molecular Confirmation of a Multiresistant Catalase-negative Staphylococcus aureus in Nigeria

Sir,We note with interest the isolation of a catalase-negative strainof S. aureus. This strain is part of a collection of S. aureus isolatesfrom clinical specimens in three hospitals, located in SouthWestern Nigeria. Unfortunately, we do not have clinical andepidemiological information on this strain but it was obtainedfrom a hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria.
