Dominant Juvenile Optic Atrophy: A Study in Two Families and Review of Hereditary Disease in Childhood

Optic atrophy, with a dominant pattern of inheritance, may occur in childhood with an insidious onset, and may be unrelated to any other neurological, congenital, or developmental anomaly. The clinical and laboratory findings are described in two families with this condition.
