Investigation into conifer woolly aphids (Hemiptera: Adelgidae) in Japan, with the description of two new species

Notes are given on the morphology and biology (especially on hosts, distribution, life cycle and phenology) for four of the eight Japanese species of the family Adelgidae: Dreyfusia todomatsui In., Aphrastasia pectinatae ssp. ishiharai In., Adelges japonicus (Monz.) and Adelges karamatsu stat. n. Furthermore two new holocyclic species, Adelges isedakii sp. n. and Sacchiphantes torii sp. n. are described, both having Larix and Picea as their hosts. Zusammenfassung Untersuchungen uber Koniferen-Wollause (Hem., Adelgidae) in Japan, mit Beschreibung zweier neuer Arten Es wird uber die Morphologie und Biologie (insbesondere Wirtspflanzen, Verbreitung, Lebenszyklus und Phanologie) von 4 der 8 japanischen Arten der Blattlausfamilie Adelgidae berichtet: Dreyfusia todomatsui In., Aphrastasia pectinatae ssp. ishiharai In., Adelges japonicus (Monz.) und Adelges karamatsui stat. n. Weiterhin werden zwei in Japan gefundene neue holozyklische Arten, Adelges isedakii sp. n. und Sacchiphantes torii sp. n. beschrieben. Beide haben Larix und Picea als Wirtsbaume.
