Effects of aerobic exercises combined with nursing intervention on cancer-related fatigue and immune-inflammatory in the patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy

2017
Objective To explore the effects of aerobic exercises combined with nursing intervention on cancer-related fatigue (CRF) and immune-inflammatory mediators in the patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy. Methods A total of 100 patients receiving chemotherapy were randomly divided into observation group and control group, 50 cases of each group. The control group was given regular care, and the observation group was given a combination of aerobic exercise and nursing intervention. The patient's fatigue was assessed using the Piper Fatigue Scale (RPFS), and the quality of life was assessed using the Quality of Life Scale (QLQ-C30). The quality of life, cancer-related fatigue and serum immune-inflammatory mediators were compared between the two groups before and 2 weeks after chemotherapy. Results After intervention, the scores of PFS and each dimension of the two groups were significantly lower than those before intervention, and the scores of PFS and each dimensions of the observation group were significantly higher than those of the control group (P<0.05). The quality of life scores and function scores of the two groups were significantly higher than those before intervention. The quality of life scores and function scores of the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05). After intervention, the levels of CD3+ , CD4+ , CD4+ /CD8+ and NK cells were significantly decreased in the two groups(P<0.05 or 0.01). The levels of CD3+ , CD4+ , CD4+ /CD8+ and NK cells in the observation group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P<0.05 or 0.01). Compared with before intervention, the NLR were significantly decreased in the two groups after intervention(P<0.01), the NLR and PLR in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group (P<0.05 or 0.01). Conclusion Aerobic exercise combined with nursing intervention can effectively relieve the degree of cancer-related fatigue in patients with lung cancer undergoing chemotherapy, improve the quality of life, and can significantly inhibit the inflammatory response and promote the recovery of cellular immune function.
