Track chambers based on proportional drift tubes with wire field shaping electrodes

Abstract The characteristics of track chambers based on round 60 mm diameter drift tubes with four wire field shaping electrodes, using a 88% Ar + 12% CO 2 gas mixture at atmospheric pressure, are described. These track chambers are planned to be used at the Serpukhov accelerator.
