The risk of disrupted governance in remote communities because of the pandemic

This paper describes the risk of disrupted governance in remote communities because of the interaction between widespread hearing loss and social distancing disrupting the social support that was available in face to face communications. It argues for the need for careful structuring of phone, video and written communication processes to minimise this disrupted governance.
