Effects of Kojic Acid Oligopeptide on Tyrosinase Activity and Melanin Synthesis of B16 Murine Melanoma Cell

2013
Objective To investigate the changes of tyrosine's activity and melanin's synthesis of B16 Murine Melanoma cells treated by Kojic Acid Oligopeptide. Methods B16 Murine Melanoma cells were used as subjects, which are respectively intervened by kojic acid oligopeptide and Kojic Acid. Then determine the rate of cell proliferation, the tyrosine's activity of cells and melanin content. Results Kojic acid oligopeptide had no significant impact on the form and quantity of B16 murine melanoma cells. Kojic oligopeptide can effectively inhibit the tyrosinase's activity and it's inhibition rate higher than that of kojic acid, but they was no signifi- cant difference between them( P 0. 05). Kojic oligopeptide can effectively inhibit melanin synthesis. When the concentration was low,it's suppression was higher than kojic acid. When the concentration was high,it's suppression was lower than kojic acid. But there were significant difference between them( P 0. 05). Conclusion Kojic acid oligopeptide had no effect on the form and quantity of B16 murine melanoma cells. And it's toxicity was lower than kojic acid. Kojic acid oligopeptide could effectively inhibit the activity of ty- rosinase and the synthesis of melanin at low concentration( ≤0. 01g / L). Kojic acid oligopeptide is better than kojic acid. Kojic acid oligopeptide has potential application value.
