Bone metastases are a frequent complication in patients withclear cell renal cell carcinoma (RCC). Skeletal involvementfrequently shows lytic characte ristics and is related to eventssuch as pain, pathological fractures, spinal cord compressionand hypercalcaemia. Bone metastases often require palliativeradiation therapy and orthopaedic surgery [ 1, 2].
