Influence of structure on mechanical behavior of Mg-Mn-Ce magnesium alloy during cyclic groove pressing
2020
A study of the mechanical properties and mechanical behavior characteristics during quasi-static tensile tests was carried out for a microstructural Mg-Mn-Ce system magnesium alloy obtained by cyclic groove pressing in the presented experimental work. The material average grain size refining from 9 to 2.5 µm led to increasing of the yield strength by 30%, and the ultimate strength by 17%. Structural changes also contribute to the activation of additional slip systems, which improves the ultimate strain to failure.
