Data Mining and Its Application in Science and Technology E-Government

Improving the ability of independent innovation and building an innovation-oriented country are the core of the national development strategy and also the key to improving the comprehensive national strength . Abundant government information and data, on the one hand, provide accurate and objective basis for the scientific decision-making of government departments, and on the other hand, pose great challenges to the information screening and data analysis. Data mining is a necessary step in the evolution of e-government from management information system to decision support system [5]. The object of data mining is a theme-oriented, integrated and relatively stable data set. Therefore, a complete system of data must be established before data mining, and a large amount of historical data at different levels and in different formats scattered in several applications or systems must be integrated according to the subject. E-government has made great progress in China in recent years. Government departments at all levels have set up a large number of databases with exponential growth of data. How to use the new data analysis technology to extract the useful information efficiently and accurately from the e-government system has become a practical problem [8].
