Gerenciamento de Resíduos na Atenção Básica sob a ótica do Enfermeiro

Objective: To analyze waste management in primary care from the nurse's perspective. Method: Descriptive study with a cross-sectional approach, conducted with 13 nurses from Family Health Units in a municipality in the semi-arid region of Bahia. Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics, using the SPSS Statistical Software version 22®. Results: among the findings, regarding segregation, 100.00% of nurses pointed out that the health unit generates waste from groups A, D and E, 84.60% waste from group B and 7.70% identified the generation of waste group C. Lack of training was reported as a problem by 61.50% of nurses, who never attended courses on waste management. Conclusion: the knowledge about the management of RSS was insufficient for the adequate management of waste. Seen failures in identification and segregation, and ignorance about the final disposal of waste.
