Search for neutron-rich Λ hypernuclei in the (Kstopped−, π+) reaction

Abstract We searched for neutron-rich Λ hypernuclei in the products of ( K stopped − , π + ) reaction with 9 Be, 12 C and 16 O targets. No peaks were observed in the Λ hypernuclear region in the measured π + momentum spectra. We set upper limits of the formation probabilities for Λ 9 He, Λ 12 Be and Λ 16 C.
