Development and Application of New Forging Technology of Nickel Base Superalloy

The hot processing characteristics of nickel base superalloy were elaborated. A new forging process was developed. The nickel base superalloy blanks were heated by pusher type reheating furnace and electric heating chamber furnace, and electrohydraulic forging hammer was used as the main equipments of the forging nickel base superalloy,which can forge nickel base superalloy slabs with width-to-height ratio up to 8.
