Клинико-экспериментальное исследование бифокальных дифракционно-рефракционных ИОЛ нового поколения

The results of the research of a new model of diffractive-refractive intraocular lens MIOL-Akkord (Russia) have been presented. It has been shown that lens' optic characteristics, measured according to the standard technique on the eye model, are comparable to the characteristics of the AcrySof ReSTOR ® lenses (USA). Despite the difference of the concepts beyond the construction of the lenses, they show the comparable results when tested. Clinical tests of the intraocular lenses showed adequate restoration of distance and near vision, equal contrast sensitivity. Visual function in patients with MIOL-Akkord was independent on slight decentration of the lens and pupil size. Both models of the lenses are new-generation multifocal intraocular lenses.
