Economic benefits deriving from energy improvements may be forfeited if the improvements are abandoned due to IAQ complaints. While some IAQ requirements may conflict with energy performance goals, reexamining relationships between energy and IAQ demonstrates that there are opportunities to improve building performance with respect to both factors simultaneously.
