Characterisation of the latex from the broad leafed cottonbush (asclepias rotundifolia) and its potential as a source of hydrocarbon fuel

Work in progress concerned with the extraction of hydro carbon material from latex bearing plants is described and the nature of the proposed programme is indicated. Preliminary results are presented which deal with the composition and properties of the material extracted from a rotundifolia (broad leafed cotton bush) (a).
