EFEITO DO ARMAZENAMENTO NA QUALIDADE DOS GRÃOS E DO ÓLEO DE CRAMBE PARA PRODUÇÃO DE BIODIESEL

O crambe, devido a sua riqueza em oleo vegetal e uma otima opcao para a producao de biodiesel. O armazenamento e pratica fundamental para a qualidade fisiologica do grao. As embalagens utilizadas no armazenamento devem diminuir a velocidade do processo de deterioracao, mantendo a qualidade do grao. Diferentes combinacoes de praticas de manejo e condicoes ambientais afetam a capacidade de armazenamento de graos em silo bolsa e sacaria, proporcionando maior preservacao da materia prima para a extracao do oleo. Dessa maneira, o presente trabalho tem como objetivos avaliar a qualidade do grao e do oleo de crambe submetido a diferentes condicoes de armazenamento, visando a producao de biodiesel. O delineamento experimental foi inteiramente casualizado, fatorial triplo, com dois tipos de embalagens, tres condicoes de ambiente e tres periodos de armazenamento e com tres repeticoes. As analises de qualidade dos graos foram teor de agua, acidez graxa, condutividade eletrica, cor e rendimento de oleo. As analises de qualidade do oleo foram: indice de iodo, viscosidade, massa especifica, indice de acidez e teor de agua. Os resultados foram submetidos a analise de variância e as medias comparadas pelo teste de “t” a 5% de probabilidade. Os resultados apontam que a embalagem hermetica resistiu as influencias do armazenamento e manteve a qualidade dos graos e do oleo, o tempo de 12 meses apresentou niveis inseguros de qualidade e o ambiente câmara climatizada apresentou evidencias de deterioracao em todos os quesitos avaliativos, nas embalagens e bolsa hermetica e sacaria convencional. STORAGE EFFECTS ON QUALITY OF CRAMBE GRAIN AND OIL FOR BIODIESEL PRODUCTION ABSTRACT: The crambe, due to its richness in vegetable oil, is a great option for biodiesel production. Proper storage is fundamental for the grain physiological quality. The packaging used in storage should decrease the deterioration process, maintaining the quality of the grain. Different combinations of management practices and environmental conditions affect the grain storage capacity in silo bag and sacks, providing greater preservation of raw material for oil extraction. In this way, this study aims to evaluate the quality of crambe grain and oil submitted to different storage conditions, aiming at the production of biodiesel. The experimental design was a randomized, triple factorial, with two package, three environmental conditions, and three storage periods, with three replications. The grain quality analyses were as follow: water content, fat acidity, electrical conductivity, color, and oil yield. The oil quality analyses were: iodine index, viscosity, density, water content, and acid content. The results were submitted to analysis of variance and the means compared using the "t" test at 5% probability. The results show that the hermetic packaging resist from storage influences and kept the quality of grain and oil, the time of 12 months had unsafe levels of quality and the climate chamber environment presented evidence of deterioration in all evaluation requisites, on both the packaging hermetic bag and conventional sacks.
