Circularly polarized luminescence of lanthanide(III) complexes with 1-ethylenediamine-N,N′-disuccinic acids

Abstract Circularly polarized luminescence and total luminescence spectra are measured for the newly synthesized lanthanide complexes with 1-ethylenediamine-N,N′-disuccinic acids (1-edds): K[Ln(III)(1-edds)]·2H 2 O ( Ln ( III ) = Sm ( III ), Eu(III), Tb(III) and Dy(III) in aqueous solution at room temperature. Some chiroptical emission transitions of these lanthanide complexes are interpreted in terms of the total luminescence dissymetry factor, lifetimes and luminescence quantum yields.
