First, the republican influences on education and the growing interest in mental phenomena are addressed, then the strengthening of psychology and its role in the educational processes, which contributions were noted in research laboratories and the inclusion of psychology in the formation of professors. Subsequently, relevant aspects are discussed in the education of indigenous populations and women, to conclude with the interest in psychometrics and the emergence of the New School, all of which allows psychology to better assist in the student's understanding of a scientific context that led to better developments for society.
