Hydrothermal syntheses and structures of bimetallic organoarsonate compounds of the Cu(II)-imine/VxOy/RAsO3n− family
2014
Abstract Hydrothermal reactions of sodium orthovanadate, copper(II) sulfate pentahydrate, phenylarsonic acid and an imine ligand yielded two compounds of the Cu(II)-imine/V x O y /RAsO 3 n − family. Under the conditions of this study the one-dimensional [Cu(phen)VO 2 (O 3 AsC 6 H 5 )(HO 3 AsC 6 H 5 )] ( 1 ) and the unique mixed-dimensionality structure of [Cu(bpy)VO 2 (O 3 AsC 6 H 5 )(HO 3 AsC 6 H 5 )][Cu(bpy)V 2 O 4 (O 3 AsC 6 H 5 ) 2 ] ( 2 ), which consists of a cluster and a one-dimensional chain, were produced. (phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine)
