Analysis of Seismicity Trend in the Mainland of China

Based on analyses of macro-situation of nationwide earthquakes in recent years,the continental seismicity trend of China has been analyzed in this paper according to the seismicity evolution patterns of time,space and strength in the mainland of China and the statistical results of related parameters,as well as combining the influence of strong earthquake activities around the mainland.The results suggest that the fifth seismic active period of the mainland has finished in the year of 2001,and the Ms7.3 earthquake occurred in Yu Tian,Sinkiang on March 21,2008 may probably indicate the beginning of a new turn of active period of the mainland of China.
