Interview with Ian Black

Having worked in high-level hospitality management for 20 years, Ian Black decided to change his lifestyle and move to country South Australia where he stayed for four years. There he volunteered at his children's kindergarten once a week and found that he enjoyed the experience of working with children. His children's teacher also thought he would make a great early childhood educator, and so he began his journey in early childhood education. He currently works at a community-based, parent-managed preschool, St Peters Preschool, in Sydney. Ian Black has four children, ranging in age from three to 15 years.
