Metal chelates of 1,7-diindolyl-1,6-heptadiene-3,5-dione

A new curcuminoid analogue containing indole ring and its cobalt(II), nickel(II), copper(II) and zinc(II) chelates of ML 2 stoichiometry have been synthesized and characterized by IR, 1 H NMR, ESR, TG and mass spectral data. Spectral data of complexes suggested the monobasic bidentate coordination of the ligand with the formation of a C 3 O 2 M ring system.
