Modeling and application of phased array techniques dedicated to complex geometry inspection

In the aim of overcoming the perturbing effects caused by ultrasound transmission through complex surfaces, adaptive techniques using phased arrays and CAD based simulations have been developed. Experiments have been performed and show the great improvement in defect detection and characterization obtained by these methods.
