Analysis of the relaxational processes in polybenzoxazole using new relaxation centres

Abstract The process of stress relaxation in polybenzoxazole over a wide temperature range of the glassy state is analyzed in detail. The stress relaxation curves are approximated by new relaxation centres based on allowance for change in the entropy of the system in the course of the process. Approximation with the aid of these centres is based on a correlation coefficient close to unity. Analysis of the kinetic parameters of relaxation reveals the transitional temperature region in which there is change in the mechanism of the relaxational process.
