Irregular molecular sieve catalyst for synthesizing p-xylene by alkylation reaction of toluene and methanol

2014
The invention relates to an irregular molecular sieve catalyst for synthesizing p-xylene by alkylation reaction of toluene and methanol, and mainly solves the problems of serious side reactions such as generation of benzene by toluene disproportionation and generation of trimethylbenzene by deep methanol alkylation in an existing reaction process of synthesizing p-xylene from toluene and methanol. The catalyst comprises the following components in parts by weight: 50-90 parts of special ZSM-5 zeolite with the crystal shape size being a fusiform structure with the length of 1-2 microns and the diameter of 0.1-0.3 microns and the SiO2/Al2O3 molar ratio of 50-150, 10-50 parts of a bonder, 0.01-0.2 part of cesium oxide and 1.0-10 parts of at least one of titanium oxide, zirconium oxide, tin oxide and bismuth oxide. According to the technical scheme, the problem of serious side reaction is well solved. The catalyst is applied to the reaction process of synthesizing p-xylene by the alkylation reaction of toluene and methanol, and the reaction conditions are as follows: the temperature is 340-420 DEG C, the total pressure is 0.5MPa to 3.0MPa, the toluene-methanol ratio is 2.0-6.0, and the air speed is 1.0-4.0h . The catalyst is good in catalytic reaction selectivity and high in p-xylene yield.
