Study of dipole moments of molecular complexes in systems of aluminum bromine with chloroderivatives of nitrobenzene

In this work, the dipole moments (DM) of chloroderivatives of nitrobenzene and complexes of these compounds with aluminum bromide were studied. Literature data are absent for most of the compounds studied. All chloronitrobenzenes used in the work were subjected to purification by the zone melting method. The physical parameters of these substances (melting temperature, dipole moment) were close to literature values if any were available. Aluminum bromide of "ch.d.a." ['pure for analysis"] grade was additionally purified by sublimation in vacuum. Spectrally pure benzene, carefully dried by distillation over fresh sodium, was used as a solvent. Preparation of the solutions and filling of the memsurement cells of the dielectrometer and pycnometer were done in a hermetic box in an atmosphere of dry nitrogen.
