Análise de custo da oferta do teste rápido de fluido oral para ampliação do diagnóstico do HIV em populações-chave

The aim of this study was to ascertain and analyze, from the public policy standpoint (SUS), the cost of providing the rapid test using oral fluid samples for HIV diagnosis under the Viva Melhor Sabendo project, involving 27 Ministry of Health-funded projects deployed from January 2014 to March 2015 in 21 cities in Federal District and eleven states targeted at the key population - homosexuals (gays and MSM), sex workers, transvestites, transgenders and transsexuals, and drug users (except injectors). The cost items recorded in each project statement of account included those of the project coordinator, educator, transport assistance, consumables and Internet charges. The costs of prevention inputs met by the Ministry of Health were also taken into account. These included the costs of providing male and female condoms, lubricating gel and education materials. (...) Despite certain different methodological approaches, the findings of this study may be comparable with those of other national and international studies.
