Adsorption thermodynamics and kinetics of sucralose onto the SP825 resin
2011
The adsorption thermodynamics and kinetics of sucralose on macroporous resin SP825 were systematically studied by a static method. It provided the fundamental data used in the following recovery process design. The results showed that the saturated capacities of resin SP825 were 0.146,0.151 and 0.156 g per gram resin at the temperatures of 283.15,293.15 and 303.15 K,respectively.Langmuir isotherm model fitted the experimental data well. The adsorption process belonged to the physical adsorption and underwent spontaneously. The pseudo second-order kinetic models were used to describe the adsorption process of sucralose on resin SP825.Simulation results indicated that the adsorption rate of sucralose was probably affected by the internal molecular diffusion process under experimental conditions.
