Fructose-1,6-Bisphosphatase 1 Reduces 18F FDG Uptake in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Fructose 1,6-bisphosphatase 1 (FBP1) appears to inhibit fluorine 18 (18F) fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) uptake through the hypoxia-inducible factor 1-α pathway, and 18F FDG PET/CT may be indictive of FBP1 expression in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma.
